Blue light covers a broad visible range. BlueLite's UV420 protection targets the short-wavelength blue-violet zone around 400–420 nm — the part closest to ultraviolet light and among the highest-energy wavelengths reaching the eye.
Understanding UV420 in a simple way
UV protection normally refers to blocking ultraviolet rays up to 400 nm. UV420 lens material extends protection further by reducing transmission up to approximately 420 nm, covering the near-UV and short-wavelength blue-violet area.
Material-level protection
Unlike lenses that rely mainly on reflective surface coatings, UV420 material technology absorbs selected wavelengths within the lens material itself — helping maintain the protective function throughout normal daily lens use.
