ADAPTATION GUIDE

Settling into your progressives.

Most wearers adapt to a modern progressive within a few days. Here's what to expect — and when to check back with your optician.

Days 1–3

Wear them full-time. Some softness at the very edges is normal as your eyes learn the corridor. Point your nose at what you want to see.

Days 4–7

Zone-switching starts to feel automatic. Reading, screens and distance should each fall into place with a small tilt of the head.

Week 2 and beyond

The lens should feel invisible. If you're still hunting for clear vision, a small fitting adjustment usually resolves it.

When to return

Persistent swim, headaches or a zone you can never find are worth a quick optician visit — the measurements may need a tweak.
